Slugs for Health and Growth and the University of California Santa Cruz’s Dean of Students office would like to invite you to the 5th Annual California Unified Collegiate Recovery Conference (CUCRC) on the weekend of November 12-13, 2016 at UC Santa Cruz. At a time when collegiate recovery programs are in dire need, colleges need to find unique ways to support students. As allies of students in recovery from alcohol and drugs, we invite you to attend this year’s student-initiated conference.
history |
CUCRC is a student-initiated conference started in 2012 by the Healing Highlanders at UC Riverside. In the past, many students were required to actively seek support outside their college community. Collegiate Recovery Programs (CRPs) aim to reverse this phenomenon by providing support from within. As a student organization, Slugs for Health and Growth plans to carry the torch ignited by UC Riverside to spread hope to students struggling to find connection in the collegiate recovery community.
