Meet the team
Addi Yeosock
Addi is an Atlanta, GA native who moved to Santa Cruz to finish her undergraduate degree at UCSC as a Psychology major. Upon completion of her Bachelor's degree, Addi plans to obtain her Master's degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. She is very passionate about recovery and is looking forward to making this year’s CUCRC a success!
ilana Sheats
Ilana is a senior Psychology major at UCSC. As a person in long term recovery, this conference is very close to her heart. She hopes the emergence of collegiate recovery programs will allow students to find recovery within their collegiate community, so that no student seeking recovery will have to choose between school and their own wellbeing.
Anel tovar
Anel Tovar was born and raised in the Chicago Land area. She is a former Gavilan Community College Student Trustee. Currently, she is working on completing a double major in Sociology and Legal Studies. Ms. Tovar has been a strong campaigner for student services throughout her undergraduate career. Alcoholism and drug addiction are phenomenons that do not discriminate on race, gender, or class. Recently, she has been dedicating her time advocating for collegiate recovery programs at the campus, state, and national levels. Ms. Tovar does not want students to feel like they are struggling alone.
Leslie Magaña
Leslie is a fourth year Psychology and Art major at UCSC. She likes to be a busy person by getting involved on campus through planning and organizing events for the community. She is heavily involved in student government, specifically, Rachael Carson Council, but she is trying to get more involved in the Psychology department and in photography. Besides going to the beach and exploring around town, she likes to encourage safe drinking practices and wants to discourage peer pressure.
